Translation

The wandering perceptions on which the mind focuses,
Carry off its insight as the wind a boat on the water.

If the mind focuses on perceptions, their wandering carries off its insight, as the wind carries off a boat on the water.

Translation

The mind, when controlled by the roving senses, steals away the Prajna as a storm takes away a boat on the sea from its destination, the spiritual shore.

Translation

As a boat on the water is swept away by a strong wind, even one of the senses on which the mind focuses can carry away a man's intelligence.
