नासतो विद्यते भावो नाभावो विद्यते सतः ।
उभयोरपि दृष्टोऽन्तस्त्वनयोस्तत्त्वदर्शिभिः ॥२- १६॥
naasato widyate bhaawo naabhaawo widyate sataH ।
ubhayorapi dRRiShTo'ntastwanayostattwadarshibhiH ॥२- १६॥

The unreal does not become existent. The nonexistent does not become real.
[True] seers see the essential limits of these two.

There is no nonexistence of the Sat (or Atma) and no existence of the Asat. The reality of these two is indeed certainly seen by the seers of truth.
Those who are seers of the truth have concluded that of the nonexistent there is no endurance, and of the existent there is no cessation. This seers have concluded by studying the nature of both.
