भक्त्या मामभिजानाति यावान्यश्चास्मि तत्त्वतः ।
ततो मां तत्त्वतो ज्ञात्वा विशते तदनन्तरम् ॥१८- ५५॥
भक्त्या मामभिजानाति यावान्यश्चास्मि तत्त्वतः ।
ततो मां तत्त्वतो ज्ञात्वा विशते तदनन्तरम् ॥१८- ५५॥
bhaktyaa maamabhijaanaati yaawaanyashchaasmi tattwataH ।
tato maaM tattwato dnyaatwaa wishate tadanantaram ॥१८- ५५॥

By devotion am I understood, who and what I am in essence.
Upon knowing me in essence, [one] then enters [Me] thereafter.

By devotion one truly understand what and who I am in essence. Having known Me in essence, one immediately merges into Me. (See also 5.19)
One can understand the Supreme Personality as He is only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of the Supreme Lord by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God.
