Yet, the resolve by which [one] holds fast to righteousness, desires, wealth, O Arjuna,
Opportunistically craving results, that resolve, O Partha, is rajasic.

The resolve by which a person, craving for the fruits of work, clings to Dharma or righteous deeds, Artha or accumulation of wealth, and Kaama or enjoyment of sensual pleasures with great attachment; that resolve, O Arjuna, is Raajasika.
And that determination by which one holds fast to fruitive result in religion, economic development and sense gratification is of the nature of passion, O Arjuna.
