यतो यतो निश्चरति मनश्चञ्चलमस्थिरम् ।
ततस्ततो नियम्यैतदात्मन्येव वशं नयेत् ॥६- २६॥
yato yato nishcharati manashchaJNchalamasthiram ।
tatastato niyamyaitadaatmanyewa washaM nayet ॥६- २६॥

Wheresoever wanders the mind inconstant, stirring,
From there restrained, [it] should be brought under control.

Wheresoever this restless and unsteady mind wanders away, one should (gently) bring it back to the reflection of the Supreme.
From whatever and wherever the mind wanders due to its flickering and unsteady nature, one must certainly withdraw it and bring it back under the control of the Self.
