संकल्पप्रभवान्कामांस्त्यक्त्वा सर्वानशेषतः ।
मनसैवेन्द्रियग्रामं विनियम्य समन्ततः ॥६- २४॥

Abandoning attachment to all powerful, endless desires,
By the intellect ruling all the perceptions on all sides.

Totally abandoning all selfish desires, and completely restraining the senses (from the sense objects) by the intellect;
One should engage oneself in the practice of yoga with undeviating determination and faith. One should abandon, without exception, all material desires born of false ego and thus control all the senses on all sides by the mind.
