Translation

That which knowers of the Vedas call "imperishable,"
Where is annihilated attachment,
Desiring which celibacy is practiced,
Steps to that I explain in brief.

Translation

I shall briefly explain to you (the process to attain) that goal which the knowers of the Vedas call the imperishable; into which the ascetics, freed from attachment, enter; and desiring which people lead a life of celibacy.

Translation

Persons learned in the Vedas, who utter omkara and who are great sages in the renounced order, enter into Brahman. Desiring such perfection, one practices celibacy. I shall now explain to you this process by which one may attain salvation.
