यस्त्वात्मरतिरेव स्यादात्मतृप्तश्च मानवः ।
आत्मन्येव च सन्तुष्टस्तस्य कार्यं न विद्यते ॥३- १७॥
yastwaatmaratirewa syaadaatmatRRiptashcha maanawaH ।
aatmanyewa cha santuShTastasya kaaryaM na widyate ॥३- १७॥

But the mortal taking pleasure only in the Self, and self-fulfilled who
Is also satisfied only in the Self, duties do not exist.
But for the mortal who takes pleasure only in the Self, who is self-fulfilled, and who is satisfied only in the self, duties do not exist.

The one who rejoices in the Self only, who is satisfied with the Self, who is content in the Self alone, for such a (Self-realized) person there is no duty.
One who is, however, taking pleasure in the self, who is illuminated in the self, who rejoices in and is satisfied with the self only, fully satiated--for him there is no duty.
