Transliteration

na hi kashchitkShaNamapi jaatu tiShThatyakarmakRRit ।

kaaryate hyawashaH karma sarwaH prakRRitijairguNaiH ॥३- ५॥

Translation

By no means, even for a moment, can anyone remain without performing actions.
All are compelled to perform actions, by qualities born of nature.

Because no one can remain actionless even for a moment. Everyone is driven to action, helplessly indeed, by the Gunas of nature.
