अधर्माभिभवात्कृष्ण प्रदुष्यन्ति कुलस्त्रियः ।
स्त्रीषु दुष्टासु वार्ष्णेय जायते वर्णसंकरः ॥१-४१॥

adharmaabhibhawaatkRRiShNa praduShyanti kulastriyaH ।

striiShu duShTaasu waarShNeya jaayate warNasaMkaraH ॥१-४१॥

Corruption having overcome [the family], O Krishna, the women of the family become defiled.
Defilement of women, O scion of Vrishni, results in intermingling of castes.
