वेदेषु यज्ञेषु तपःसु चैव
: दानेषु यत् पुण्यफलं प्रदिष्टम् ।
अत्येति तत्सर्वमिदं विदित्वा
: योगी परं स्थानमुपैति चाद्यम् ॥८- २८॥

Transliteration

wedeShu yadnyeShu tapaHsu chaiwa

: daaneShu yat puNyaphalaM pradiShTam ।

atyeti tatsarwamidaM widitwaa

: yogii paraM sthaanamupaiti chaadyam ॥८- २८॥

Translation

From [studying] the Vedas, from sacrifice, and even from penance,
From charity, the fruit of merit earned.
Having known what [is] beyond all of these,
The yogi achieves the transcendent state immediately.

Translation

The yogi who knows all this goes beyond getting the benefits of the study of the Vedas, performance of sacrifices, austerities, and charities, and attains the Supreme eternal abode.

Translation

A person who accepts the path of devotional service is not bereft of the results derived from studying the Vedas, performing austere sacrifices, giving charity or pursuing philosophical and fruitive activities. At the end he reaches the supreme abode.
