श्रीभगवानुवाच
इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे ।
ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् ॥९- १॥
श्रीभगवानुवाच
इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे ।
ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् ॥९- १॥
shriibhagawaanuwaacha
idaM tu te guhyatamaM prawakShyaamyanasooyawe ।
dnyaanaM widnyaanasahitaM yajdnyaatwaa mokShyase'shubhaat ॥९- १॥

The blessed Lord said,
This very secret superlative I will reveal to [you] who are without contempt,
Understanding knowledge with wisdom liberates [one] from evil.

The Supreme Lord said: I shall reveal to you, who do not disbelieve, the most profound secret of Self-knowledge and Self-realization. Having known this you will be freed from the miseries of worldly existence.
The Supreme Lord said: My dear Arjuna, because you are never envious of Me, I shall impart to you this most secret wisdom, knowing which you shall be relieved of the miseries of material existence.
