Without pride or temptation, conquering the fault of attachment,
Ever [remaining] the supreme Self, eschewing lust,
Liberated from the dualities called joy and sorrow,
The unfoolish go to that eternal state.

Those who are free from pride and delusion, who have conquered the evil of attachment, who are constantly dwelling in the Supreme Self with all Kaama completely stilled, who are free from the dualities known as pleasure and pain; such undeluded persons reach the eternal goal.
One who is free from illusion, false prestige, and false association, who understands the eternal, who is done with material lust and is freed from the duality of happiness and distress, and who knows how to surrender unto the Supreme Person, attains to that eternal kingdom.
