अर्जुन उवाच
एवं सततयुक्ता ये भक्तास्त्वां पर्युपासते ।
ये चाप्यक्षरमव्यक्तं तेषां के योगवित्तमाः ॥१२- १॥

ewaM satatayuktaa ye bhaktaastwaaM paryupaasate ।
ye chaapyakSharamawyaktaM teShaaM ke yogawittamaaH ॥१२- १॥

Arjuna said,
Those ever-dedicated who, devotees, meditate upon you,
And those [who meditate upon the] immutable unmanifest: of them, which are most knowledgeable of yoga?

Arjuna said: Those ever-steadfast devotees (or Bhaktas) who thus worship You (as the manifest or personal God), and those who worship the eternal unmanifest (the formless or impersonal) Brahman (by developing Jnana), which of these has the best knowledge of yoga?
Arjuna inquired: Which is considered to be more perfect, those who are properly engaged in Your devotional service, or those who worship the impersonal Brahman, the unmanifested?
