एतैर्विमुक्तः कौन्तेय तमोद्वारैस्त्रिभिर्नरः ।
आचरत्यात्मनः श्रेयस्ततो याति परां गतिम् ॥१६- २२॥

The man liberated from these three dark gates, O son of Kunti,
Undertakes the welfare of the self, thereupon attains the transcendent state.

The man who has escaped these three gates of hell, O son of Kunti, performs acts conducive to self-realization and thus gradually attains the supreme destination.
